For those of you who aren't lucky enough to have access to my column....(!)
A brief background (If you do read my column, you'll know this already, if you pay attention and don't just look at the daft or rude bits)...
Air quality is measured by grammes of nitrogen dioxide per cubic metre. 'Moderate' air quality is rated about 50g/M3 (sorry can't find the bloody cubic metre symbol but you know what I mean, smart arses!!)....by my house, back home it's about 30g/M3, and by the busy traffic lights in Congleton (lots of standing traffic, all farting out gas), about 60g/M3.
A couple of Saturday's ago (less traffic, weekend) here in Beijing,it was 240g/M3 (advice - "SAY INDOORS").
Today, I woke up, and opened the curtains (see photo - someone opposite took a photo of a naked bloke with a camera at the 11th floor window at the same time). Got to work, and checked....
340g/M3 - "HAZARDOUS"
Jacko wasn't daft, wearing those masks. Maybe Dick Turpin was ahead of his time too. But Dick Turpin didn't shag chimpanzees.
Going to make some toast & a cup of tea & download this week's 'Chronicle'.
