The 'tricky' DVD shop sells CD's too, so hardly worth downloading when I can get a nice box & cover included for £2!!!!
Top of the Pops in my apartment at the moment...
(No particular order)
'The Magic of David Foster & Friends' (compilation) - (he's a TOP producer & written for / recorded the biggest names - you may not have heard of him, but you'd certainly recognise his work from behind the mixing desk!!)
Josh Groban - 'All that Echoes' - bought it today & been playing it while typing blogs...he's done some great stuff & I've seen him live...not sure if he's losing his way a bit & peaked a couple of albums ago..
Wille Nelson - 'The Great Divide' - dug this out the other day for some reason...looking for a particular track...normally HATE country-type stuff, but I remember driving home from Macclesfield some 8 years or so ago and hearing a track on the radio that I loved...was shocked when I then heard it was Willie!! Great album...
Peter Gabriel - 'Back to Front Live' - from his latest tour : the 'So' album live
Spock's Beard - 'Brief Nocturnes & Dreamless Sleep' - their new album....only played it once, some good bits. Must play it again!
Rodriguez - 'Seaching for Sugarman' - soundtrack to the truly FABULOUS film, just out on DVD. Not heard of him? Neither had I until I bought the DVD on recommendation. Possibly the most enjoyable film I've watched this year - joyous. Get it. If you hate it, I'll give you the money back. Then shoot you. Makes Dylan sound like an amateur, and is far less annoying.
'Warm Thoughts' - my own compilation. Brilliant. Genius. Heartbreaking.
Led Zeppelin - 'Celebration Day' - live reunion gig. 'Kashmir' remains awesome.
My neighbours hate this stuff....in fact, they hate their new neighbour full stop. Sound system in my new apartment is great, but seems better still at high volume...
